The Sweetness I Can't Resist

Since I was a kid, I was a chocolate lover. I remember I always request my mommy to buy chocolates such as Kitkat, toblerone, cadbury and my favorite then Lindt. At that early age, I knew already which chocolate is good and expensive so I was then a choco guru in our family. Hence, if my friends loved chocnut, spare me on that because for me it's not really chocolate but just crumbs of peanuts and sugar.

Until now, I still love chocolate eventhough I have allergy on it due to my asthma attacks. I now become so conscious to the food that I eat. I eventually stopped craving for chocolates. Should I have the eagerness to the taste of it, I just drink lots of water and simply turn my back. But the evil is still around haunting me. Until one day, I had the liberty to taste a japanese chocolate called "Royce". That evil turned angel to me. The taste is like you're in heaven where you cannot really resist. Everything melts on your tongue. Not to mention the packaging of it which is not usual to any chocolate bar.

As I told my friends and colleagues about the 'heaveness" of Royce chocolate, all of them now love it too just like me. As what I always say, "If it's not royce, no thank you" ;-)

A Different Yoga Experience

A friend of mine invited me to join and experience a yoga class. At first, I declined it since I'm enjoying my belly dancing class. Hence, our belly class has always been postponed eventually, I decided not looking forward into it to prevent disappointments. Not to mention, I already forgot too about the yoga thing.

One day, I met another old friend of mine after my meeting with a client. I noticed that my friend really look radiant and very sexy. Although I know I'm sexy too in my own way but I was amazed how great she looks. Honestly, I was so curious of her secret and she blurted with happines that she's into "bikram yoga". I asked myself, "what the hell is about yoga that every friend of mine who looks radiant are head over heels about this?!!". With a little overview of bikram yoga from my friend, I eventually enrolled myself, simply because of curiosity and wanting to look better and syempre...sexier...hehehhe...

I had my first taste of Bikram Yoga few weeks ago. It was one of the lazy saturdays and nothing to do much in my pad. I wore my usual gym outfit and roxy slippers together with my mat, big towels and a jag of water. I had my 10-minute introduction from the instructor and for me, everything she said was just the usual stuff of exercise. When I was told to go to the room, I observed it was a bit hot and noticed there were heaters on the 4 corners of the room. I immediately asked how long will the class be with this kind of temperature... it's a 90-minute class. I was a bit nervous but I told myself, "Here I am, if my friends enjoyed it, I should too".

I would like to show you some of the exercises or poses we did during our class. I'm grateful I'm flexible enough to follow them. Thanks to my ballet experience.

This is called Half Moon with Hands to Feet pose. We are expected see the back wall and stay on that pose for at least 10 seconds.

This is called Balance Stick pose. You really need to find your focal point to have the balance and make sure your lifted leg is parallel to your pointed hands.

This is the Standing Head to Knee pose. Unfortunately, my powers weren't enough to execute this. It's really difficult for first timers. Without getting your focal point and enough flexibility of your body, you will never make it.

Lastly, this is called the Full Locust pose. I remember we used to do this in my ballet class during my younger days. This is easy for me.

Generally, bikram yoga is a series of 26 postures including two breathing exercises done over a 90-minute period in a heated room. The heat encourages flexibility, promotes detoxification and assists in the healing and realignment of the body. The poses that I showed look difficult. Honestly, they really are. Hence, this is a challenge for me to look and feel good!
